IN A STUBBORN AND CONTRARY DIRECTION.

This definition represents me, also in homage to Fabrizio De André. It testifies to all the tenacity, willpower, even stubbornness at times, through which I undertook my choice. Against the tide, completely different from what the wine-making tradition has imprinted on these lands for centuries.

No DOC wines typical of the area. The vines at Corte Quaiara tell a different story, starting with Pinot Noir, which I vinify red, and in purity. And then Pinot Grigio, Corvinone, Teroldego, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Goldtraminer. Oselèta and Garganega.

THE LAND AND THE TERROIR.

Moraine hills surround our property, which belongs to this territory. They were formed 10,000 years ago after the retreat of the glaciers, with the formation of Lake Garda. This is why our soils are thin, stony, with an important portion of limestone. poor in nutrients, they force the vines to give their best and are a fundamental premise for obtaining acidity, minerality and flavour.

Here you can breathe the Garda microclimate, with hot summers, good rainfall, and strong temperature swings: a difficult but perfect habitat for my Pinot Noir.

THE PEOPLE.

My sister Anna and the rest of the team support me every day, in the vineyard and in the cellar. I also like to remember Antonio Obardi, a farmer who taught me a lot: how to talk to the vines and listen to them carefully. He was my mentor and I learnt everything from him.
